Virtual Cathedral Day
On Tuesday 3rd November, Year 6 took part in a 'Virtual Cathedral Day'. All the children were fully engaged and made thought provoking contributions. We had a virtual tour of Canterbury Cathedral and created a variety of art projects inspired by what we saw.
Illuminated Scriptures:
We looked at some examples of illuminated lettering in the books found in the cathedral and then chose a Bible quote that inspired us. The children then wrote their quotes out using illuminated lettering.
Stones of Hope
We talked about what we were hopeful for and words and pictures that gave us comfort. The children then decorated their stones with the words and images that are important to them.
Bossanyi windows
We looked at the windows created by Bossanyi and discussed the images of the Salvation and Peace windows. We then created a window that depicts Peace, Salvation, Incarnation or Gospel.

Year 1 Science
The aliens have landed!!
At the beginning of term a spaceship of aliens accidentally landed in our playground! Before they returned to their planet to mend their broken spaceship, the aliens left a letter asking Class 1 if they could answer some questions about Earthlings.
Today, having spent this term learning all the names of the different parts of our body and how our senses work, we were able to write back to the aliens answering all their questions!

This week Year 6 have planned and carried out their own investigations to find out the answer to their questions about finches. They had to plan a fair test that would give valid data. Here are some photos of the children carrying out their experiments.

Term 1 Class 3
Reading is given top priority.😊
There have been fantastic presentations of their story based on our class book 'Hansel and Gretel'. They have just finished a 'Big Write'. I'm extremely impressed. 😊They have been learning their times tables and spelling. 😊
